Founder of Eat Move Believe, Malia Lewis, which is a non-profit organization providing free workshops that focus on how much to eat, when and why, and the importance of regular exercise and a positive attitude joined Bart and Letitia in the studio. Malia also authored a book called Eat, Move, Believe which is a part of her non-profits’ programming, that has 100% of its proceeds donated to charity. The organization and its namesake book seeks to empower teens and adults to feel and look their best by making smart food choices, respecting their bodies and believing in themselves. By taking ownership of yourself, your choices and your outlook, Malia believes the cycle towards a healthier you can be ignited at any age.
In this episode, learn:
-What the three pillars, Eat, Move, and Believe stand for and how they can be implemented.
-How empowering teens can prevent the rise in diseases like diabetes.
-The types of programs that are available through EatMoveBelieve.org.
When asked what her ultimate lesson learned has been, Malia shared that treating each other with kindness, and especially being kind to yourself, makes a huge difference for teens and adults alike.
